39 CENTRAL FLORIDA CHILDREN WILL BE ADOPTED FRIDAY ON NATIONAL ADOPTION DAY
Courthouses across Central Florida will be filled with beaming parents and children, as new families will officially unite during consecutive adoption ceremonies in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. A total of 39 children ranging in ages from one year old to 16 years old will be adopted as part of National Adoption Day celebrations taking place across the country.
Organizations like Community Based Care of Central Florida, which oversees foster care and adoption services in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, are hoping to generate greater awareness of adoption opportunities. In the three counties alone there are more than 100 children currently available for adoption. Nationwide that number jumps to 100,000.
