Open tryout for the Arena Football League’s Orlando Predators

The first open tryout for the Arena Football League’s Orlando Predators will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Thunder Field, across from the Florida Citrus Bowl, at 1610 West Church Street.

Joining the new coaching staff in Orlando at the tryout, led by new head coach Bret Munsey, will be representatives from two United Football League teams.

At least one player from open tryouts each year has been signed to a contract by the Predators.

Participants may register in advance at a cost of $60 by Monday, Nov. 28. Registration is $70 per participant on day of tryout. Payments may be made by credit card, cash or money order.

Registration will be held from 8-9 a.m. on Dec. 3. The tryout starts promptly at 9:15 a.m. with the short shuttle and 40-yard dash taking place on natural grass. Individual position drills and one-on-one workouts will follow at approximately 10:30 a.m. The tryout is scheduled to wrap up by 1 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to dress accordingly and bring proper footwear for workouts on a grass surface. Kickers are asked to bring their own kicking tees. Pads and helmets are not needed.
