Touch a Shark at SeaWorld Orlando!

Many people grow up with a fear of sharks. It’s no surprise, for years popular culture and news media have sensationalized incidents of shark and human interaction, overall contributing to how the shark has become one of the most misunderstood predators of our ocean.

It’s estimated that at least 100 million sharks are killed annually, mainly for their fins to make soup, a delicacy in some countries.

So how can kids growing up today learn to appreciate and understand this awesome ocean predator?

Shark Encounter has offered guests an up-close look beneath our ocean, into the world of the shark. Now SeaWorld Orlando is able to inspire new generations of ocean advocates with the power of interaction.

The Relaxation Station located near Wild Artic is now home to a brand-new educational experience where guests will have the chance to learn about and interact with brownbanded bamboo sharks, whitespotted bamboo sharks and epaulette sharks.
